LAS VEGAS - Legal observers say more Nevada judges might face questions about removing themselves from cases following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that elected judges can't hear cases involving parties who've made large campaign contributions to them. Nevada is one of 39 states where judges are elected.

RENO - Cooler temperatures and a chance of rain and thunderstorms are back in the forecast for northern Nevada, after a week of wet, unsettled weather. Thunderstorms Monday night brought heavy rain and small hail to areas north of Sparks. Forecasters say possible thunderstorms will stick around into the weekend.

CARSON CITY - Nevada's 2010 primary election is a year away, but a construction trades union said Monday it's not too early to endorse Clark County Commission Chairman Rory Reid as a Democratic candidate for governor. Besides Reid, Assembly Speaker Barbara Buckley of Las Vegas is expected to seek the Democratic nomination. Republican Gov. Jim Gibbons is seeking a second four-year term but is facing opposition from both Democratic and Republican candidates for his job.
