Obituary: James Kenneth (Ray) Neff

James Kenneth (Ray) Neff, 84, died suddenly June 7, 2009. Born in Oklahoma, he was a resident of Douglas County for fifty years. He was a World War II Marine Veteran, serving at Guam and Iwo Jima. Ray was an admired long-time casino executive at Harvey's Lake Tahoe. He is survived by his wife of 47-years Betty; son Keith Uptain; grandsons Erik Uptain, Josh Uptain, grandsons Erik Uptain, and Josh Uptain of Las Vegas, sister Georgia Oddi, of Naples Florida, nieces and friends. A memorial service will be 2 p.m., Saturday in the Chapel of Walton's Funeral Home, 1478 4th Street, Minden.
