On Friday last a Native American was fishing south of Marlette's Lake, near the mouth of the outlet, when he found a human skull attached to his hook. Parties who profess to know state the remains are of a man named Phillips who was suddenly missed from there some time last summer. During last August, he went up to Tahoe and was very greatly addicted to drink, and one day while under the influence, he wandered away from camp and that was the last that was seen of him.

Mr. Richard Jose, the distinguished tenor and manager of the famous comedy "Jane" has secured the rights for a heavy royalty to show the play at the Carson Opera House tomorrow night. The company includes 14 artists and a real live baby, which plays a very important part in "Jane."
