Flag ceremony on Friday

Capitol Post 4 of the American Legion, Carson City, will host a Flag Retirement Ceremony for the Nevada Boys State program at 12:30 p.m., Friday at the Veterans Memorial Plaza. All veterans and the public are invited. U.S. Flags that are worn and tattered and torn may be dropped off at Timbers, 124 E. Eighth St. or Mo and Sluggo's, 110 W. Free concerts in the park at Genoa starting June 21

The Town of Genoa Recreation Events Committee will host a series of free concerts in the park starting 5 p.m., Sunday, June 21.

Douglas High class of 1984 reunion in August

Indian Hills GID summer kick off starts Saturday

Indian Hills General Improvement District will kick off summer with a celebration starting at 6 a.m., Saturday with a community yard sale. There will be a barbecue in James Lee Park Gazebo at 11 a.m.; at noon a softball game and many other activities. Party bouncers, dunk tank, Douglas D.A.R.E. Program; East Fork Fire Department; hula hoop contest and tug of war contest. For information, call 445-3260.
