Sheriff's Log

Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• A 29-year-old student from Santa Cruz, Calif., was arrested at 12:40 a.m. at Carson and Long streets on suspicion of misdemeanor probation violation. No bail was set.

• David Carl Rasmussen, 19, unemployed from Carson City, was arrested at 1:56 p.m. Sunday at Chimney Beach on suspicion of felony probation violation. No bail was set.

• Christina Marie Horner, 45, of Carson City, was arrested at 2:39 a.m. Saturday on Hawaii Circle on suspicion of felony assault on an officer and threats. A deputy went to Horner's home on a report of a domestic battery. Horner allegedly threatened several times to sic her pit bull on the officer. Her bail was set at $26,615.

• A 57-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 8:22 p.m. Friday in the 1400 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of disorderly conduct. Bail was set at $237.

• Edgar Sepulveda, 18, of Carson City, was arrested at 11:19 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Burton Street on suspicion of felony residential burglary. Also arrested was a juvenile on the same charge. The two allegedly went into a home on Southridge Road while the owners were on vacation, and helped themselves to items including video games, clothes, jewelry and drinks. The juvenile also allegedly returned a second time with another teen and took more items. Bail for Sepulveda was set at $25,000.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:

Monday:

• Report of a vehicle striking a deer on Lakeview Hill at 5:16 a.m. The deer was killed. The driver was not hurt. The vehicle was towed.

• Coroner call on Kit Sierra Way at 7:11 a.m.

• Coroner call in the 3200 block of Imperial Way at 8:07 a.m.

• A woman newly out of drug rehab reported at 10:02 a.m. that her car and vehicle title were taken while she was in rehab.

• A woman reported at 12:06 p.m. that her boss at a fast food restaurant assaulted her.

• Report of a homeless man urinating on the side of a building in the 2000 block of North Carson Street at 2:45 p.m. A deputy arrested the man after waking him from a nap on a bench nearby.

• Coroner call in the 2800 block of Highway 50 East at 9:23 p.m.

Sunday:

• A retired deputy insisted a man speeding on Mark Way be cited. The driver was cited.

• Caller reported a vehicle ran through a gate and into a field at Ash Canyon Road and Ormsby Boulevard sometime overnight. The homeowner reported finding a license plate next to a fence the vehicle backed into.

• A woman called dispatch at 12:33 p.m. to report a barking dog on David Street. When the dispatcher told her she would have to call animal control, the woman called the dispatcher a derogatory name and hung up.

• Electronics were reported stolen from a home on Race Track Road at 5:49 p.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded:

Monday

• A man in Mason Valley reported at 4:33 p.m. that he was sleeping when his cousin punched him.

• An embezzlement report was taken after a woman on Cherry Street in Silver Spring reported she'd lent her vehicle to someone and they hadn't returned it by the time agreed upon.

Sunday

• Misdemeanor arrest on Wilson Way at Farm District Road in Fernley at 2:16 a.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest on Highway 50 East in Dayton at 1:22 a.m.

• A Toyota pickup stolen from Los Angeles was found on Red Rock Road in Mound House at 3:06 p.m.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded

Monday

• A bassett hound was reported missing at 11 a.m. on Lousetown Road.

• Report of a patrol vehicle hitting a pole at the Lockwood Sheriff's Substation at 3:24 p.m.

Sunday

• Report at 6:11 p.m. of a "small horse attempting to cross the road" north of the summit on State Route 341.

• Report of a "wandering herd" of black and white cattle on Riverview at Lousetown roads at 8:16 p.m.
