Judges needed for Run What Cha Brung Car Show

Karson Kruzers will host its annual "Run What Cha Brung" car show June 26-28 at Fuji Park. The group is looking for volunteers to judge the show. Volunteers must be 18 years or older. The date for judging is 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m., June 27. There will be a brief class on judging. All judges receive two dinners, T-shirt and mug. For information, call 884-1606 or 883-0927.

Carson High Class of 1989 plans reunion

Carson High School Class of 1989 make your plans to attend the 20 year reunion Aug. 14-15. Kicking off the reunion will be a Carson Pub Crawl at 5 p.m., Friday in the back lot of the Firkin & Fox, 310 S. Carson St. Prepay $10 for an official CHS Class of 1989 lanyard. A family day event is planned and will be held Aug. 15, time and location to be announced. Stroll down memory lane with cocktails, dinner and dancing at 5 p.m., at Glen Eagles Restaurant, 3700 N. Silver City hosts family fair Saturday

Silver City hosts an old-fashioned family fair noon-3 p.m. Saturday at Silver City Park, corner of High and Second streets. Dance to Will and Sheree Rose, enjoy a cake walk, face painting, lemonade and watermelon. There is no entry fee for the fair or live music. Small fee for children's games. Teens involved in the local Comstock Youth Works summer job skills program also will be selling plant terrariums to raise additional funds for the Silver City Community Garden and Compost, which is funded in part by Silver City Task Force and Healthy Communities Coalition, as well as many generous donations and the enthusiastic labor of Silver City volunteers.
