Swing dance club's dance is tonight
The High Sierra Swing Dance Club's monthly dance will be Saturday in the Grand Ballroom of the Brewery Arts Center, 449 W. King St. There will be a West Coast swing lesson at 7 p.m., with the social dance following from 8-10:30 p.m. Cost for the lesson is $7 for HSSDC and other swing dance club members and $10 general; social dance is $7 all dance club members and $10 general. Carson library to be closed July 3, 4
Carson City Library will be closed Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4 in recognition of the Independence Day holiday. The library will reopen at 10 a.m., Monday, July 6. Music club hosts barbecue July 13
Carson City Music Club will host its annual barbecue and bluegrass musical entertainment, Monday, July 13 on the Brewery Arts Center Performance Hall lawn, 511 N. King St. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m.; music at 7 p.m. Music will be provided by the Back Forty. Barbeque and music for $10. Music only is $8. Reservations are required by Wednesday, July 8. Menu will be chicken and beef, beans, and potato salad, soft drinks and water provided. No alcohol allowed. Bring your chair and come early to get a good seat. Dangberg Ranch House tour is Aug. 2
The Carson City Historical Society hosts a tour of the Dangberg Ranch House,

Taste of the Towns tickets on sale
Taste of the Towns tickets are now on sale at the Carson Valley Museum and Cultural Center, 1477 U. S. Highway 395 N, Suite B, Gardnerville and the Courthouse Museum, 2304 Main St., Genoa. This fundraiser for the Historical Society will be 5-9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1. Thirteen restaurants are participating. You will be able to taste Mexican, Italian, sweets, coffee, basque, pizza, American and smoothies. Four new restaurants are participating this year. Tickets are $20 for members of the Historical Society and $25 for non-members in advance. Tickets are limited. For information, call 782-2555.
