Lannie Oberg

Lannie Oberg passed away Feb. 2, 2009 in Mesa, Ariz. Lannie was born April 2, 1946. She grew up in Hettinger, where she graduated from high school in 1964. After high school she attended nursing school, where she graduated with a nursing degree. In,1966, she married Roger Oberg. They moved to California in 1967, and a few years later they moved to Carson City. Upon retiring, she and her husband moved to Mesa, Ariz. She had two children, a son Rob Oberg (Beckie) of Reno, and a daughter, Jill Carlson (Corey) of Dewey, Ariz. She had five grandchildren, C0bL Jocelyn, Zoie, Jack and Hilli.

Lannie's life was filled with adventure. She was a consummate traveler, and she and her husband saw much of America and Mexico. Her creative flare was seen in her home, especially, around the holidays She was a superb cook who knew how to make new recipes, along with her mother's classic ones LannWs laugh, her sparkling eyes, her love of family, and- her deep abiding love and compassion will be greatly missed by her husband her children, her grandchildren, her sisters, Sarah Bowerman (Robinson), Shirley Waltemyer (Nashville) and Susan Kvanv.ig (Hettinger); her nieces and nephews; and her many, many friends. May she rest in peace.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Stella Rothstein.

A memorial service 'was held in Mesa, Arizona, and spring memorial will be held in Hettinger.
