The All-Sierra Nevada Media winter sports teams are selected by editors and reporters at the publications of the Sierra Nevada Media Group. Athletes from any of the schools covered by the group's papers were eligible for selection.
BOYS basketball
First team
- C " Tannar Wood, Dayton: Wood averaged 13.8 points per game while leading the Dust Devils to the Northern 3A League title.
- F " James McLaughlin, Douglas: McLaughlin earned first-team All-Sierra League honors, averaging 12.8 points per game after returning from a broken leg in January.
- F " Dexter Daum, Fallon: Daum averaged 15.8 points and 10.1 rebounds per game to go with 50 assists and 10 blocks.
- G " Brian Barnes, Carson: The streak-shooting Barnes led the Senators in scoring at 15 points per game. When opposing teams planned for the Senators, they planned for Barnes first. He is a solid 3-point shooter and can also drive to the basket.
- G " Garrett Adams, Fallon: Adams averaged 15.3 points per game to go with 57 assists and 127 rebounds in leading the Greenwave to a breakout season.
- Utility " Matt Rutledge Carson: A four-year varsity player, Rutledge has been a starter for the past three years. He is the guy that makes the Senators' offense go. He also usually is assigned to the top backcourt scorer on the opposing team. He averaged six points and five assists per game.
Second team
- C " Anthony Tisdale, Fallon: Tisdale hauled in 131 rebounds this season, had 28 steals and averaged 6.7 points per game.
- F " Paul Cagle III, Carson: The 5-9 Cagle gets the most out of his physical ability. He can muscle his way inside for offensive rebounds and putbacks and he can stroke a 3-pointer on occasion. He averaged 12 points per game.
- F " Johnathan Chang, Incline: Chang put together a number of 20-point games this season for the 2A Regional Champions and was dangerous from outside the arc.
- G " Russ Smith, Fallon: Led Fallon in assists with 118 and hit 34 3-pointers on the year. Ended up with second-team all-league honors.
- G " Chris Klug, South Tahoe: The senior point guard averaged 11 points per game in league play. One of the quickest guards in the Sierra League, he caused disruption for opposing guards, making 2.3 steals per game.
- G " Tim Rudnick, Douglas: Rudnick was a second-team All-Sierra League honoree after leading the team in scoring for the season.
- Utility " Armando Paniagua, North Tahoe: Paniagua averaged over 13 points per game to lead a North Tahoe team that only averaged 38 points per game.

GIRLS Basketball
First Team
- C Jessica Waggoner, Douglas: Three-time first-team All-Sierra League honoree, Waggoner finished her career with 1,524 points, which places her fifth in the NIAA state record book and first among 4A players.
- F Sara Parsons, Fallon: The Greenwave junior was a second-team All-Sierra League honoree. Parsons made 35 3-pointers on the year and had 75 steals. She averaged 11.6 points per game.
- F Gina Bianchi, Carson: Bianchi was named to the first team All-Sierra League squad after a strong junior season.
G Kelly Hester, North Tahoe: The Lakers standout senior point guard was voted co-MVP of the Northern 2A. She averaged 13.6 points per game, 4.8 assists, 5.8 rebounds and 4.2 steals during the regular season. Hester recorded her 800th varsity point during the Lakers' final regular-season game.
G Brandi Vega, Carson: Known as one of the best all-around athletes in the region, Vega earned first-team All-Sierra League honors for her playmaking ability.
Util Alexis Holmes, South Tahoe: Holmes led the Vikings to several surprising wins during the season on her way to second-team All-Sierra League honors.
Second Team
C Isabel Concha-Foley, Whittell: The first-team All-Northern 2A selection recorded eight double-double performances on the year and helped the Warriors to the regional semifinals.
F Tiffany O'Day, Carson: The Senator co-captain was a second-team All-Sierra League honoree.
F Yvonne Hollett, Carson: The Carson junior was an all-league honorable mention.
G Ally Freitas, Douglas: Freitas was a second-team All-Sierra League honoree, running the Lady Tiger offense efficiently in her first season as a starter.
G Katie Wright, Incline: Wright was the key cog in the Highlanders' league title run. If not for North Tahoe's Hester, probably would have been the 2A Player of the Year.
Util Kelli Cherry, Incline: Cherry was one of the Highlanders' top free-throw shooters and was often relied on at the end of close games to come through in pressure situations. She leads a group of juniors that will be looking to defend a league title next season.

WRESTLING
First Team
103: Cody Feliciano, Incline: State and regional 2A champion. Won the state title on three straight pins.
112: Colin Merkley, Fallon: Merkley was the 4A Regional runner-up.
119: Tim Souza, Douglas: Souza was the Northern 4A Regional runner-up
125: Nick Schlager, Carson: Schlager won the Northern 4A Regional championship and took
130: Kyle Mullen, Truckee: Third-place finisher at the Class 3A State championships.
135: Hazyn McGrath, Fernley: State and regional champ at the 3A level.
140: Nico Barker, Douglas: Barker was the Northern 4A Regional runner-up and state 4A runner-up in the weight class.
145: Zerek Sanchez, Fallon: Sanchez was the Northern 4A Regional runner-up.
152: Bobby Waters, Truckee: One of 10 wrestlers in Truckee's history to record 100 wins. Finishing his senior season at 34-11, he's also in Truckee's top-10 all-time in several other statistical categories. Although Waters' senior season ended in disappointment after be became sick just before the Northern 3A Divisional Duals " thus being denied a seeding in the Northern 3A Zone Tournament " he pinned every opponent in the league with the exception of Kyle Firestone of Dayton, whom he went 2-2 against during the season.
160: Trent de Braga, Fallon: De Braga was one of the more dominating wrestlers in the state this season, winning the class 4A state title. He went 10-0 during a week-long stretch in December when he won the Sierra Nevada Classic and the Carson Valley Lions Club Invite.
171: A.J. Estrada, Fernley: Estrada was the state 3A runner-up and Northern region runner-up.
189: Josh Cutts, Fernley: 3A state and regional champ.
215: Justin Barlow, Carson: Barlow advanced to the consolation semifinals before losing to the eventual third-place finisher.
275: Jordan Cronin, Incline: Class 2A state champion, defeated a number of top 4A opponents on the year. Won the state title on three consecutive pins.
Second Team
103: Pat Craugh, Carson: Craugh took fourth place at the Northern 4A Regional championships.
112: Dillon Spates, Douglas: Spates just missed his first state berth, taking fourth at the Northern 4A Regional championships.
119: Ricky Ugarte, Carson
125: Wes Peterson, Douglas: Peterson was the Northern 4A Regional runner-up, losing a 5-0 decision to Schlager.
130: Michael Sepulveda, Douglas: Sepulveda was one of the top seeds entering the regional tournament before suffering a first-round setback. He fought his way through the consolation bracket before losing in the consolation semifinals.
135: Nick Prudhomme, Douglas: Prudhomme advanced to the consolation semifinals before falling against the eventual third-place finisher.
140: Charlie Heck, Fallon: Heck took fourth place in the Northern 4A Regional championships.
145: Eddie Kollar, Douglas: Kollar battled back from an early round loss to take third at the Northern 4A Regionals and
152: Colton Oney, Fallon: Oney fought his way through the consolation bracket as a non-scoring wrestler to advance to the regional consolation semifinals.
160: Junior Valladares, Carson: Took fourth at the Northern 4A Regional championships.
171: Cory Sage, Fallon: Sage advanced to the Northern 4A consolation semifinals before being knocked out by the eventual fourth-place finisher.
189: Zach Falanga, Douglas: Took fourth-place at the Northern 4A Regional tournament
215: Patrick Miller, Douglas: The junior varsity call-up improved as the year went along for the Tigers, picking up a number of key league wins.
HVY: Jon Fago't, South Tahoe: Fago't advanced the the regional consolation semifinals and was the top Sierra League wrestler with a 27-5 record.
Honorable Mention
