Bills and Owens is a bad marriage

Terrell Owens to the Buffalo Bills? What were the Bills thinking, and what was Owens thinking?

I think it was a bad move by both parties. The Bills shouldn't want a cancer like Owens in the locker room.

Normally veterans like Owens want to go to a contender, and I don't believe the Bills are a championship caliber squad right now.

I'm honestly surprised that Owens didn't go to the Raiders. Al Davis is famous for taking chances on malcontents; guys that have washed out at other places.

- Can I just say how boring professional golf is without Tiger Woods in the field. Normally I will watch part or all of any tournament when Tiger is playing. When he isn't, I'd rather watch West Wing reruns.

When he finishes his career, Woods will be the greatest golfer of all time, and many think he deserves that ranking now.

I certainly will reserve judgment for a few more years. He is one of few golfers with the potential to shoot a 62 or 63 every time out. Heck, he's so good that Augusta National has tried to Tiger-proof the course.

-Tickets for the Western Athletic Conference post-season men's and women's basketball tournaments which starts Tuesday night at Lawlor Events Center are currently available at the Legacy Hall ticket office.

There are three ticket options available - all-session, single session and three-packs. The all-session tickets will remain on sale until the tournament starts and range in price from $110 to $145. You can also purchase tickets on line by calling 775-348-7225 option 2.

Single session tickets can be purchased at the Lawlor Events Center box office 775-348-7225 option 1 or going to www.tickets.com. Each session includes two games with the exception of the championship game. Tickets will be between $30 and $40.

Fans also can purchase a three-pack and receive the same seat for the men's quarterfinals (choice of afternoon or evening session), semifinals and championship game. The three-packs are $75 and $105 compared to $90 and $120 if purchased separately. The three-pack is on sale at Lawlor Events Center ticket office or online at www.tickets.com.

The Nevada women will play Wednesday night at 6, while the Nevada men will play Thursday night at 6.

The tournament is expected to help the economy immensely with 18 teams and their fans staying at the downtown casinos and partaking in all the entertainment downtown Reno has to offer.

This is the first of two years that Reno will host the event. It's likely after the 2010 tournament that the WAC will explore a neutral site on a yearly basis. Las Vegas and Salt Lake City are two possibilities.
