Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

- James Yale Novak, 18, a laborer from Carson City, was arrested at 9:19 p.m. Tuesday at Carson and Musser streets on warrants for suspicion of two counts of felony burglary and two counts of uttering a forged instrument. Bail was set at $10,000.

- Ronald Dee Anderson, 49, an equipment operator from Bridgeport was arrested at 8:35 p.m. on two felony warrants out of Mono County. Bail was set at $200,000.

- A 36-year-old homemaker from Carson City was arrested at 7:48 a.m. Wednesday in the 800 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor failure to comply. No bail was set.

- A 23-year-old mother from Carson City was arrested at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday in the 900 block of East Musser Street on suspicion of misdemeanor contempt of court. Bail was set at $1,460.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

- Jewelry was stolen from a Zephyr Circle home sometime before 8:23 a.m.

- A man and woman who went to the Sheriff's Department at 11:24 a.m. to find out their rights concerning child custody were both arrested on warrants.

- Credit card fraud report on Surrey Lane at 12:22 p.m.

- Accident at Highway 50 East and Saliman Road at 4:16 p.m.

- Coroner call at Carson Tahoe Regional Medical Center at 8:03 p.m.

- A caller reported seeing three nervous 15-year-olds wearing backpacks and skulking around in bushes at Calaveras and Bunker Hill drives at 10:52 p.m. Officers found the teens, at least one of them intoxicated on liquor taken from someone's mom.


Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

- Arrest on Highway 95 Alternate in Mason Valley at 3:06 p.m.

- Report of gates stolen from Farm District Road in Fernley at 12:10 p.m.

- Two arrested for shoplifting on East Newlands Drive in Fernley at 3:07 p.m.

- Arrest on Branstetter Avenue in Mark Twain at 9:25 p.m.


Storey County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Tuesday:

- Arrest on State Route 341 at Cartwright Road at 4:30 p.m.

- A caller at 7:38 p.m. reported that a white German shepherd, wearing an "invisible fence" collar, had been in the caller's yard since 5:30 p.m.
