East Carson below Hangman's Bridge: Flow is at 178 cfs. Iced on the edges and some sections fully iced. CATCH & RELEASE: very cold water coming down. Nymph the holes with a PT, caddis pupa, copper johns in 16 - 18. You can get them on dark steamers in the sunnier areas, like the confluence when the sun is on it earlier in the day. No bait, single barbless hooks.

East Carson in Gardnerville: Flow is at 215 cfs. Nice winter flows. As above, watch for the ice to melt off a bit and the river rise in the afternoon. The water is certainly very cold (30 degrees) which means a good dead drift. Holding in the deeper holes.

East Walker at Rosaschi: Flow is 89 cfs. We're not sure why there was a rise in the water flows, but it's getting frustrating. We'll see if they stay level for a few days, if they do, it will do very well. If not, well, it won't be as good. Black copper Johns, Bubbleback, zug bugs, PT's, pearl disco midges still doing very well. Rubber lugged golden stones, Caddis pupa and small streamers produced fish also. San juan worms (red) and red zebra midges did well in the lower section.

East Walker below dam: Flow is at 85 cfs. Flow is up like other places along the river. Dry actions when there is a midge hatch and BWO. Large streamers produce, I've not heard anything that they are not taking. A nice mix of yearlings and larger fish. No kill, no bait, no single barbless.

Truckee River: Flow is at 427 cfs. Water is very cold right now, go deep or go home. If the sun gets into an area that produces a midge hatch, try comparadun adams or PT's.

Topaz: Feed is still earthworms, on the south side we had a few customers get them on zebra and PT's.
