Nancy Thorman-Turner, 67, died March 29, 2009, at home in Carson City after a long battle with cancer. She was born January 31, 1942 in Cheyenne, Wyo. to John and Mary Gray.
She is survived by her husband Bill Turner; children Terry Thorman and Janan Jones; sister Linda Becker and six grandchildren. In addition are her extended family of stepchildren Teri Jacobson, Steve Turner and Janine Hawney, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
After retiring from government service, Nancy moved to Carson City from Long Beach, Calif. in 1996. In addition to being very active in the community and with the CASA program, she worked for Cultural Homestay International Au Pair program.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., today at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. A memorial service will be 10 a.m., Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
