Craig was born Aug. 29, 1946 and died April 28, 2009 of cancer.
He graduated from Hiram Johnson High School and Sacramento City College. In his early years Craig was active in the Boy Scouts and received both the Eagle Scout Award and the God and Country Award. Photography and painting were special interests throughout his life. He studied at the Fishback Photography School. Craig served with the 1st Cavalry Division, U.S. Army stationed at An Khe, Vietnam. He received a Bronze Star for combat operations. Craig loved sailing and boats. He worked for Outward Bound in Maine, for the Coast Guard on the Great Lakes, on a tourist schooner in the Caribbean and finally on an ARCO oil tanker. He traveled extensively throughout the world. He enjoyed his adventurous life and dearly loved his family.
He is survived by his mother, Gail; his brothers, Gary and Scott; his sister, Nancy; his brother-in-law, Tom; his sister-in-law, Cheryl; and seven nephews. The family will hold a private service.
