Capt. R. S. Floyd, a very wealthy capitalist of San Francisco visited Lake Tahoe yesterday in a snowstorm. At 9 o'clock last night he was listening to Hank Monk's recitals of hairbreadth escapes and fast times on the Sierras.

James Nulty, his wife and babe narrowly escaped serious injury while on their way to Carson in a buggy. While in the vicinity of the Baltimore mine on American Flat the breeching gave way and the horse started at a mad pace. The buggy tipped over and threw the occupants on the ground. Mrs. Nulty and the baby were scratched and bruised - the buggy was badly damaged. Enterprise.
