A Carson City woman arrested last month in connection with at least four residential burglaries, is a suspect in a series of break-ins at a College Parkway senior citizen park, an investigator said Friday.

Victoria Marti, 31, was arrested April 29 after a homeowner on Spartan Avenue allegedly found Marti inside the house.

The 94-year-old homeowner and her caretaker provided police with a license-plate number that led officers to Marti's home, said Carson City Sheriff's Department Detective Bob Motamenpour.

During an interview, he said, Marti admitted to at least two burglaries inside the Comstock Mobile Home Park on College Parkway in which she pawned the goods.

But some six burglaries have been reported at the senior park in recent months, and a few items of jewelry that Marti allegedly pawned matched up to burglaries in which she denied involvement.

Some of items have been returned to their owners, said Motamenpour. He believes there are other victims who have yet to come forward.

"People may suspect they were burglarized, but they haven't reported it," said Motamenpour.

He said anyone who thinks they may be a victim should contact the sheriff's department and detail what items they believe to be missing.

Motamenpour said he will then compare the reports with at least 20 items of jewelry pawned in Marti's name that he recovered from pawn shops around town.
