Barbecue hosted by Comstock Service Exchange

Comstock Service Exchange hosts a free barbecue meeting 5:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 12 in the outdoor area behind the Dayton Community Center, 170 Pike Street, Dayton. The Comstock Service Exchange includes the corridor from Virginia City through Dayton to Silver Springs. The idea is simple: one hour of service is equal to one hour of credit. People earning these credits can use them to get similar help for themselves or their families. Every skill or talent has the same value. For example, one hour of teaching someone to quilt is equal to one hour of weeding is equal to one hour of tutoring and so on. The Comstock Service Exchange is an initiative of the Dayton Task Force, which is a partner of Healthy Communities Coalition. For information and to RSVP, call 530-4762.
