Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
- A 28-year-old coffee shop worker from Dayton was arrested Saturday at 3:36 a.m. in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road for misdemeanor violations of alternative sentencing conditions. Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call and questioned the subject and his girlfriend, who were arguing in a parking lot, after returning from a bar. A background check found the subject had a no-alcohol clause as a condition of his sentencing on a prior offense. A preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol content of .227. Bail was set for $3,000.
- A 44-year-old Carson City man was taken into civil protective custody at 5:51 a.m. Saturday morning at Carson Tahoe Medical Center. The subject was found passed out on the lawn of a residence and transported to the emergency room by Carson City Fire and Rescue. His blood alcohol level was .339 when he arrived, and was held there until medically cleared for release. The subject had a blood alcohol level of .149 when he arrived at the jail, and was released when he sobered up.
- A 19-year-old food service worker from Carson City was arrested Friday at 11:21 p.m. in Brunswick Canyon on a misdemeanor criminal contempt warrant. Officers investigating a party with underage drinking contacted the subject and discovered the outstanding warrant. Bail was set at $500.
- A 53-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday at 2:02 a.m. in the 300 block of North Carson Street for misdemeanor simple battery and disorderly conduct. The subject allegedly was told to leave a drinking establishment, and threatened to return. He did return, with a pool cue and a beer mug, punched a security guard, and threatened to draw a weapon from his pocket. When advised that law enforcement had been called, the subject tried to run away when he was apprehended by officers. A four-inch folding knife was recovered from his pocket, and a preliminary breath test showed a blood alcohol level of .206. Bail was set at $1,764.
- A 38-year-old construction worker from Carson City was arrested Friday at 6:56 p.m. in the 400 block of Lee Street for gross misdemeanor abuse/neglect of a child. A woman reported that her estranged husband had spanked their 4-year-old son and left severe bruises on his buttocks. The subject said he spanked him three times with an open hand and didn't think he did it very hard. Bail was set at $2,500.
- Two subjects were transferred from Washoe County Jail to Carson City Saturday at 12:30 a.m. on misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear on traffic offenses. A 65-year-old Sparks man had bail set at $226. A 34-year-old Reno man had his bail set at $819.
- A 30-year-old bouncer from Carson City was arrested Friday at 2:45 p.m. in the 2100 block of Highway 50 East on a misdemeanor warrant for violation of a suspended sentence. An officer spotted the subject who is known to have warrants in the past. A records check brought up a new warrant that had been issued that morning. Bail was set at $3,000.
