The Western Nevada baseball team remains alive in the JUCO World Series after dropping Shelton State 9-2 on Tuesday in Grand Junction, Colo.
The Wildcats led most of the way, but used six runnings in the final two innings to bust the game open.
Jordan Lewis pitched eight innings and allowed just six hits and two runs, with only one earned.
Jay Skilton went 3 for 3 from the plate with three RBIs.
Of the Wildcats' 16 hits, six were doubles and one was a triple.
The Wildcats don't play again until Thursday where they could face Howard, who beat them 4-3 in the first game of the series. Howard is waiting to face the winner of Santa Fe-San Jacinto-North.
