The Carson City Marine Corps League invites past and present Marines, friends and family to attend a gathering Tuesday at the Old Globe Saloon to celebrate the 234th birthday of the United States Marine Corps. Festivities begin at 4:30 p.m.
The event is sponsored by members of the Carson City Marine Corps League.
"Any person with a relationship to a U.S. Marine (is) encouraged to attend," said Gary Armstrong, league member.
The Old Globe is at 407 N. Curry St. in Carson City.
