Como Mill: The Como Mill was started up. There was a crowd of Carson capitalists to witness the first revolution of machinery. The mill was profusely decorated with flags, a banquet was spread and a regular jollification was had.

120 YEARS AGO

A Feast: Bill of fare at the Arlington House for Thanksgiving. Crab salad; soup - consomme a la Royal and Mulligatawny; Fish - boiled Bariacouda, egg sauce; boiled - armor ham, champagne sauce, beef tongue, tarten sauce; entrees - chicken pie, New York style; fillet of beef larded, with mushrooms. Roast - turkey with cranberry sauce, prime beef, lamb; vegetables, asparagus, cauliflower, tomatoes.
