A new Web site will make it easier for parents and students to raise money for their schools while dining at McDonald's.

The Kassity Family School Fund just launched its Web site, www.kassityschoolfund

.org, a place for Carson City, Minden and other rural communities to get information on fundraising opportunities.

Students, friends and family members of participating schools simply need to visit a local McDonald's, purchase one of the specified menu items, and state their school to the cashier.

Chris and Sharon Kassity, local McDonald's restaurant owners, will donate 25 cents from the sale of featured items to the fund in the name of the stated school.

Log on to the Web site to learn about other fundraising opportunities for your school.

The programs are available in Carson City and Minden McDonald's restaurants, and are soon to be running in Hawthorne, Yerington, Battle Mountain and Winnemucca.

Menu items that can be used toward a donation are:

• Any Premium Chicken Salad

• Any shake or McFlurry

• Any iced or hot McCafe drink or hot chocolate

• Fruit & Walnut Salad

• Any Snack Wrap

• Egg McMuffin Sandwich

Carson City schools participating in the fundraiser are Bethlehem Lutheran Church and School, Bordewich-Bray Elementary, Fritsch Elemen-

tary School, St. Teresa of Avila Catholic School, St. Teresa of Avila Youth Ministry and Seeliger Elementary School.
