The Carson City Board of Supervisors meets at 8:30 a.m. Thursday in the Sierra Room of the Carson City Community Center, 851 E. William St.
In their capacity as the Redevelopment Authority, supervisors are scheduled to approve funding for a number of projects within redevelopment districts.
Officials will reconvene as the board of supervisors to consider the following measures:
• Adopting an amendment to the city's animal ordinance regarding bears.
• Approving a Regional Gang Initiative grant in the amount of $350,000 to create a foundation for a collaborative response to gang activity within the adjoining tri-county area of Carson City, Lyon County and Douglas County.
• Approving the funding of $438,589 to satisfy the street abandonment settlement so that the Nugget can explore a master development project, which will benefit the casino as well as the city.
