Marian Hicks, 69, a life-long resident of Yerington, died Oct. 17, 2009. She was born in Yerington April 15, 1940, to Richard and Lena (Tabby) Conway. She is survived by her sons, Leland Tom and Lyle Tom; a grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Lance Tom; husband Ronnie Hicks; brothers, Ernie Conway, Ralph Conway, Franklin Conway; and sister Margaret Conway all of Yerington and a brother, Fred Mike, Jr. of Ione, Calif. A private family burial will be held. A gathering and dinner for family and friends will be at 1 p.m. Friday at her home at 408 Cottonwood Lane in Yerington.
