Our should-be fellow citizen Mr. Thos. Millard, after being in this country twenty-five years took out his naturalization papers yesterday. Glad of it, old gentleman; we congratulate the commonweath.

100 YEARS AGO

Captain Cox of the State Police received a call from Mercer County that H.H. McIver and R.E. Stuck are in jail after having "soaked" the editor of the Carson City News and other members of the newspaper fraternity on some sort of advertising scheme. They are accused of the crime of forgery.

70 YEARS AGO

Years ago in a photographer's place a placard:
