The proposition of amending the divorce laws is now before the Legislature. The question seems to be to make it more, or less difficult. Now a man may be too shrewd as a business man to be fooled with a salted mine or an unsound horse and this same individual, noted among his fellows as upstanding, may rush off and select a partner for life that will prove a vixen on wheels, a liar, gossip, spendthrift, destitute of all accomplishments and bankrupt in every domestic virtue.

70 YEARS AGO

Mrs. W. E. Orr, production manager of the Carson City Chapter of the American Red Cross reports that the following items have been sent to aid the British: Seven pairs of men's pajamas, 17 bathrobes, 12 utility bags, four women's and four girl's dresses, 13 sweaters, 11 boys shirts, three knitted scarfs and nine layettes.

Nevada prison workers are terrified of their supervisors and afraid to air complaints, the Assembly Government Affairs Committee was told today by Robert Gagnier, of the State of Nevada Employees Association.

Carson bucks the unemployment trend by dropping one-tenth percent from 3.3 to 3.2 percent.
