Heller and Ableser wed at Lake Tahoe

Hilary Anne Heller and Edward Zachary Ableser were married on July 11, 2009, in a black-and-white-themed ceremony outdoors at Whittell Mansion. There were 130 guests in attendance at the historic mansion, also known as Thunderbird Lodge, on the east shore of Lake Tahoe.

The bride is the daughter of Congressman Dean and Lynne Heller of Carson City.

The groom is the son of Greg and Maria Ableser of Los Angeles, and Jack and Monika Shaw, of Tulsa, Okla.

The ceremony was presided over by Richard Brombach, the bride's grandfather, and Stake President William Brewer with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Andrea Rubin served as maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Emmy Heller, Erin Dohrmann, Heather Gowin, Nicole Ableser, Danielle Rolfe, and Heather Winter.

Victor Begay was the best man and the groomsmen were Joe Herrera, Drew Heller, Tim Gowin, Corey Woods, DJ Quinlan, and Tristan Orozco.

The groom's nephew, CJ Gowin was the ring bearer.

The bride was born in Los Angeles and raised in Carson City, where she attended Fritsch Elementary School, Carson Middle School. She graduated from Carson High School in 2003. She received a bachelor of arts degree in communication from Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz.

The groom was born in Los Angeles and raised in both Los Angeles and Ann Arbor, Mich. He graduated from Clonlara High School in Ann Arbor, in 1996. He received a bachelor of arts degree in political science and Chinese followed by a master's degree in counseling psychology from Arizona State University in Tempe. He is currently a doctorate student in the College of Justice and Social Inquiry at Arizona State University.

The couple honeymooned at Yosemite followed by a cruise to Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Vallarta, with the bride's family.

Mr. and Mrs. Ableser reside in their first home together in Tempe.
