Forecast: Warmer temperatures coming

After a week-long cold spell, the Carson City region should be warming up again this week, reaching the mid-60s by Thursday.

Forecast from the National Weather Service:

This Afternoon: Scattered snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 43. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50 percent. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of snow showers before 10 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 22. West wind between 5 and 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 53. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming north.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 26. North wind between 5 and 10 mph becoming calm.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 62. East wind between 5 and 10 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 32.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 65.
