Boys & Girls Club summer registration begins

Registration opens Monday for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Nevada summer program, June 7 through Aug. 20. The club accepts children ages 6 to 18 from Carson City and the surrounding communities for a $20 annual fee. The weekly summer session fees are $25 for the first child, $20 for the second, and $15 each for three or more children from the same family. Some scholarships are available. Parents or guardians must attend orientation to pick up membership and registration forms. Sign up for orientation at the club, 1870 Russell Way, or call 882-8820.

Orientation sessions, limited to 30 adults, run Monday through June 3 at these times:

• Mondays: 12:15-12:45 p.m.

• Tuesdays, renewal memberships only: 5:15-5:30 p.m.

• Wednesdays: 5:15-5:45 p.m.

• Thursdays: 12:15-12:45 p.m.

• Fridays: 9 a.m.-9:30 p.m.

The club is closed June 4 for staff training and July 5.

Summer program hours are 7 a.m.-6:30 p.m. Monday-Friday. Summer begins on June 7 and runs until Aug. 20.

Clothing exchange at B&G Club

The Boys and Girls Clubs of Western Nevada, 1870 Russell Way, will hold an Earth Day clothing exchange, 3-6:30 p.m. Thursday.

Bring in clothes that you or your child have outgrown and exchange them for some that fit. Donations before Thursday can be dropped off Monday-Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
