The students of the health occupations class have been busy. The Life Flight helicopter landed Thursday on the front lawn of the high school to teach the students about emergency medicine.

A special thank you goes out to Jacob Ricks for spending his time to educate the students about the important part that Life Flight plays in medicine.

Also, April is sexual assault awareness month, so the students are running a campaign to bring awareness to sexual assault by hanging posters and fliers around the school.

On Wednesday, Senator Square will be decorated with jeans to campaign for Denim Day, a national recognition campaign against sexual assault

The honors anatomy classes will be traveling to WNC next week to learn about and dissect cadavers.

This is a great partnership with WNC to be able to utilize their resources for high school learning.

We want to thank Dr. Steve Carman for his work and the support of the administration at WNC to allow this to happen.
