1920 ~ 2010

Emil John Slatkovski, a native of Czechoslovakia, entered into his final rest on April 17, 2010. Born on April 21, 1920 to Jacob and Agnes Slatkovski, Emil came to America with his parents at the age of 2. He grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He resided in Carson City and Gardnerville, Nev., since 1967. Mr. Slatkovski retired from the sheet metal business. In his leisure time he enjoyed various hobbies which included old car restoration and collecting automobile signs and license plates. Emil loved the game of golf and tried his hand at jewelry-making.

Emil, known to his friends as "Slats," is survived by his wife Jean, whom he met and married in Hawaii during World War II; son Scott of Tucson, Ariz., daughter Teena Malosky of Reno, and six grandchildren. A private gathering for his family and friends will be held at a later date. Autumn Funerals & Cremations has been entrusted with his final arrangements.
