Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• Rudy Cornilias Polk, 25, unemployed of Fresno, Calif., was brought from California on a Carson City warrant for felony home invasion. In April 2009, Polk allegedly broke into a home and confronted a 10-year-old boy over the boy's father's purported failure to pay Polk for yard work. At the time, the child was home alone with his critically ill mother. A deputy wrote in the report the boy was "in fear for his mother's safety as she is sick and could not defend herself." Polk did not assault anyone, but damaged

property and threw cinderblocks through windows as he left, according to the report. Bail was set at $15,000.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• Report of a 1991 Toyota 4Runner stolen from the 100 block of Rice Street sometime before 6:17 a.m.

• Identity theft report on Jacobs Way at 9:34 a.m.

• Report of juveniles fighting in the 1100 block of East William Street at 11:48 a.m.

• Report of a motorcycle stolen from a storage yard on West College Parkway sometime before 2 p.m.

• Accident at Fairview Drive and South Roop Street at 2:24 p.m.

• A mother reported finding marijuana in her 12-year-old daughter's room at 5:53 p.m. The girl was arrested.

• Arrest of a man who tried to steal alcohol from Sak 'n Save at 8:03 p.m.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

• A Mark Twain woman reported at 3:42 p.m. that she just noticed someone had been breaking into her home the past three weeks.

• A man on Six Mile Canyon Road reported at 5:18 p.m. it appeared his home had been burglarized.

• Misdemeanor arrest on Rawhide Street in Silver Springs at 6:41 p.m.
