SALT LAKE CITY - Officials say the brother of a Utah sheriff's deputy shot to death in January has been found dead in Nevada.

Millard County sheriff's office spokeswoman Lindsay Mitchell said Friday that Ryan Greathouse was found dead in a Las Vegas apartment.

Authorities have said Greathouse told deputies he bought drugs from the man charged in the fatal shooting of Josie Greathouse Fox and another man shortly before she was killed Jan. 5. Authorities said the brother-sister connection was a bizarre coincidence.

The Clark County coroner's office says 40-year-old Ryan Greathouse was found in an apartment bedroom Thursday. It says a cause of death may not be determined for several weeks.

Thirty-seven-year-old Roberto Miramontes Roman is charged with capital murder and two other counts in the deputy's death.
