Phyllis Key, age 84, of Silver Springs, Nev., passed away April 22, 2010, in Carson City. Phyllis was born August 17, 1925, Watertown, S.D., one of six children born to Ethan and Ruby (Hale) Sample.
Phyllis and her husband of 50 years, Jack (John) Key, started their family in Clear Lake, S.D..
Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband and her brothers, Albert, Henry, and Virgil Sample.
She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Brent) Rose of Ely, Nev.; sons John P. Key and Brian (Pam) Key of Tucson, Ariz.; and daughter Janine (Gus) Weekley of Carson City. She leaves dearly loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also leaves two sisters, Lillian Cunningham of Pocatello, Idaho, and Ruby (Ernie) Mathis of Mt. Vernon, S.D., along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.
