Soroptimist International of Carson City and Platinum Plus Salon's Annual Backpack Attack is such a wonderful program. Children will have a backpack filled with not only school supplies, but toothbrushes, toothpaste and more. So many in the community go the extra mile of supplying the backpacks with hygiene items and special items like wash, gel and hair items. Thank you for helping a child to a new school year with much needed backpacks.

Those bringing in a backpack receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a spa package valued at $250 from Platinum Plus. Backpacks will be delivered Aug. 16 to the school advocates at each school to distribute to children that qualify. Currently the list consists of 240 children but I am sure there will be more than 300 students in need.
