Stargazing at Washoe Lake

Come discover the wonders of star and planet gazing at Washoe Lake State Park from 8-11 p.m. Saturday.

Astronomy experts Jay Lawson and Adam Kremers will be on hand with high-powered telescopes. Visitors will see the moons of Jupiter and many other fascinating objects in the Milky Way Galaxy.

Everyone will meet at the overflow boat parking area near the main boat ramp. The park is located off U.S. 395 on East Lake Boulevard at the southeast corner of Washoe Lake.

The public is invited to this event. There is no charge for this program. There is a $7 per vehicle entrance fee.

Bring chairs and a jacket, as evenings can be cool.
