Carson City
The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:
• Raymond E. Carter, 54, was arrested on Friday at 8:42 p.m. on the 2100 block of California Street on suspicion of domestic battery that resulted in a substantial injury to his live-in girlfriend and battery with a deadly weapon, both felonies. Bail was set at $35,000.
• Cody C. Ward, 21, was arrested on Saturday at 3:09 p.m. at the intersection of Brown and Reeves streets on a warrant for grand larceny, a felony. Bail was set at $10,000.
• Brandon K. Marino, 27, was arrested on Saturday at 3:54 a.m. on suspicion of a probation violation, a felony with no bail. He also was arrested for suspicion of reckless driving, a misdemeanor, resulting in a $632 bail.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Friday:
• An assault with a deadly weapon in Mason Valley on Friday at 7:50 p.m.
