How to populate the lake: The Enterprise suggests the only way to make Lake Bigler popular is to catch a few leading society lights of San Francisco, bind and gag them and forcibly take them to the Lake. Once there, it would take a six-ox team to pull them away. If they ever made it back, they would proclaim the beauties of the place which would cause an avalanche of visitors to the spot every season.

With all the campers that have visited Lake Tahoe this year not one has come back with a report of the discovery of the old sea serpent that has been at the Lake these many years. The liquid refreshments must be of a mild sort this year.
