Shout of thanks to Community Roots
Community Roots in Dayton on Highway 50. are giving all proceeds from all Christmas trees purchased from the business to the Dayton community kids toy program. They have a great selection, the trees are fresh and beautiful and you help out the kids of the community. How awesome are these folks? It would be great if you could do a little piece on these folks and the kindness that they give to the Dayton community & children all year.
Thank you,
Mandy Williams

ESL volunteers and donators help break barriers
The ESL In-Home Program of Northern Nevada wishes to send grateful thanks to the Nevada Appeal and the Wish You Well Foundation for their generous donations. The combined funds received enables our program to purchase needed instructional materials to start 80 adults on our waiting list who are eager to learn to speak, read, write and understand English.
Now, my next challenge is to recruit more tutors to join the 118 community volunteer tutors currently teaching English to 210 students in five counties. No teaching experience required. We train. If you wish to make a difference and be part of the solution to the language barrier, please call 775-888-2021 or e-mail: eslinhomenv

Thanks for wonderful surgical care
I would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff at Sierra Surgery for the wonderful care I received while I was there for two days.
I had a total knee replacement on November 8, 2010 and the staff that was on duty were incredible. I really appreciated the total care that I received.
Thank you again and have a wonderful holiday.
