LAS VEGAS (AP) - Police say the teenage daughter of an ex-con drug trafficker was shot dead and a man was hospitalized in critical condition with multiple wounds in a break-in shooting at a southwest Las Vegas home.

The Clark County coroner identified the girl as 15-year-old Alexus Postorino. School officials say she was a high school sophomore.

The name of the man being treated at University Medical Center in Las Vegas wasn't immediately made public.

Police tell the Las Vegas Review-Journal investigators believe the 3:43 a.m. Monday shooting was drug-related, but the girl was an innocent victim. They identify her father as William Postorino.

Court records show he was convicted in 2004 of trafficking in controlled substances and sentenced to one to 2 1/2 years in state prison.
