Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• A 29-year-old bartender from Carson City was arrested at 1:37 p.m. in the 1600 block of Forest Way on suspicion of four counts of gross misdemeanor possession of prescription drugs without a prescription, misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence, contempt of court, possession of hypodermic needles and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail was set at $15,314.

• A 41-year-old man was arrested at 4:04 p.m. Thursday at Savemart on Highway 50 East on suspicion of misdemeanor petty larceny. He allegedly stuffed a $2.90 bottle of Newcastle beer down his pants and tried to leave the store. Bail was set at $347.

• A 42-year-old preschool teacher from Carson City was arrested at 4:45 p.m. Thursday in the 1400 block of South Carson Street on suspicion of misdemeanor driving on expired registration, driving without a valid license, driving without insurance and a warrant. Bail was set at $1,786.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Report of a stereo stolen and the inside dash and door panels destroyed on a car parked at a business overnight on Hot Springs Road.

• Coroner call in the 2800 block of Mountain Street at 7:54 p.m.

• Report at 11:43 p.m. of a man, angered by the cost of a beer, punching teeth out of someone inside a bar on South Carson Street. He was kicked out.

Storey County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:

• Report at 8:58 a.m. of eight horses attempting to cross railroad tracks on State Route 341.

• Caller on Canyon Way reported at 10:09 p.m. that they bought firewood and hired someone to haul it, but when the delivery person arrived he was refusing to unload it where the caller wanted.

• Report at 2:14 p.m. of a small black curly haired dog looking lost on Bonanza Road.

• Report at 2:52 p.m. of a curly haired golden retriever named Bacchus with a blue collar and tag missing from Lousetown Road since Tuesday.
