(Nevada Appeal Staff Report) - The Central Lyon County Fire District Fuels Management Division in conjunction with Lyon County Parks is offering Christmas tree recycling this year.
There will be two drop-off sites within the Central Lyon County area.
One drop site will be at the Dayton Events Center off of Schaad Road. The other site will be at the county baseball field, near the library, at Topaz Street and Silver Stage Place in Silver Springs.
The drop sites will be marked with a sign to let people know where to put the trees for recycling. Trees need to be free of ornaments, lights, tinsel and stands with nails.
Only natural trees will be accepted.
Drop sites will be available from Dec. 26-Jan. 9.
The trees will be chipped to provide mulch for use within the county parks.
