From the Nevada Highway Patrol: Due to the severe winter weather, the Mt. Rose Highway is closed to all motorists, effective immediately. The Nevada Highway Patrol is currently working to help stranded motorists off the mountain while Nevada DOT is working to open the roadway. Motorist are encouraged to refrain from travel unless absolutely necessary. Please call 511 for current roadway conditions.
