Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

• A 25-year-old meat cutter from Carson City was arrested at 12:46 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of Dyer Court on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving, speeding, driving without insurance and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Bail was set at $2,056.

• A 49-year-old carpenter from Carson City was arrested at 12:21 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of South Roop Street on suspicion of misdemeanor second-offense driving under the influence and having an open container of alcohol in the vehicle. Bail was set at $2,906.

• Jennifer Sherman, 37, of Carson City, was arrested at 7:17 p.m. Monday in the 600 block of College Parkway on suspicion of gross misdemeanor resisting arrest, battery on a peace officer and domestic battery. Sherman allegedly hit her mother in the face with her purse.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:

• Coroner call in the 200 block of Koontz Lane at 9:28 a.m.

• Report of several vehicles burglarized overnight in the 5100 block of Convair Drive.

• A man surrendered a gun and ammunition for destruction to the Carson City Sheriff's Office at 12:29 p.m.

• Coroner call on Clear Creek Avenue at 4:53 p.m.

• A wallet was stolen from a vehicle on Wild Sage Circle sometime overnight.

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Monday:

• Misdemeanor arrest on Rosaschi Lane in Yerington at 9:07 p.m.

• Misdemeanor arrest on Lower Colony Road in Smith Valley at 1:03 p.m.

• A Mound House father reported at 3:44 p.m. that his 17-year-old daughter smacked him in the face.

Storey County

• Report at 8:21 a.m. that a gate on Cartwright Road was left open and a paint gelding and bay mare escaped their corral.
