Christmas Eve is very special to our family, as this is the time we celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. Beautiful memories are made for our children and grandchildren.

Each grandchild receives three gifts as our Lord Jesus Christ received. The story of Christ's birth is read from the Bible by one of our grandchildren. Candy canes are handed out to each child, and one child is picked to tell the story of the candy cane. A birthday cake for Jesus excites the children as they blow out the candles and sing Happy Birthday to Jesus.

We settle down for hot potato soup and homemade rolls. A tradition is making peanut butter bonbons, which the grandchildren love. Then, with excitement, the gifts are opened.

Christmas is the day we celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Don't leave Christ out of Christmas. He is the reason for the season. Happy new year.
