RENO (AP) - Divers have recovered the body of a 20-year-old Sparks man who apparently drowned in Pyramid Lake north of Reno earlier this month.

Washoe County Sheriff's deputy Armando Avina says the search and rescue team found Dustin Mason's body about 3 p.m. on Monday after a cadaver dog alerted them to the spot near Pelican Bay. His name was made public late Tuesday.

Avina says a medical examination will determine the official cause of death.

Mason is believed to be the man who disappeared when a boat capsized on Dec. 12. Two friends survived by swimming to shore.
