Obituary: Jeffrey Alan Arneson

Jeffrey Alan Arneson, 39, of Sanford, Maine, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2010, at the H.D. Goodall Hospital in Sanford. Born on August 4, 1970, in Los Angeles, Jeff was a son of Alvin and Carol (Moe) Arneson. He graduated from Tahoe High School Class of 1988.

He attended Western Nevada College in Carson City and in May of 2007 completed National Certification as a Surgical Technologist.

Jeff loved sports and people of all kinds. A huge baseball fan, he excelled as a coach. Hockey -"Go Bruins", Football- "Go Chiefs". He also was a NASCAR fan and an avid John Wayne fan. What Jeff enjoyed the most was spending time with family on God's Green Earth. He loved to laugh until it hurts. He was a stand up man -"You Must Stand Up for Something or You Will Fall for Everything."

Jeff was connected and inspired by the rare type of unselfish people who make up the medical profession.

Jeff is predeceased by his father, Alvin L. Arneson.

He is survived by his wife Katherine Victoria Arneson; mother, Carol L. Arneson; stepson John Paul Morgando and his wife, Tamara Mae; stepdaughter Deanna Rey Prebble; stepson Raymond Earl Prebble Jr.; sister Jennifer A. Arneson; three step-grandchildren, Dominic Geoni Morgando, Sevanna Hope Morgando and Grace Elizabeth Morgando.

Family, friends and co-workers gathered for a time of visitation and remembrance of Jeff's life 3-5 p.m. Tuesday, February 2 at the Carll-Heald & Black Funeral Home, 580 Main Street, Springvale, Maine.
