Talking Wall hosts essay contest

Partnership Carson City Kid's Talking Wall is hosting its first Character Counts Essay Contest for schools in Carson City. Winners will be chosen based on their essays about one of the six pillars of character: responsibility, citizenship, respect, fairness, caring and trustworthiness.

Entries will be displayed and read at the Kids' Talking Wall from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 3 at the Carson Mall, 1313 S. Carson St.

The contest is open to any student in grades K-12, including those home-schooled. Deadline for submission is March 26.
