MINDEN - The assistant coach for the Coleville High School football team was jailed last month on suspicion of felony lewd acts with a minor under the age of 16 and molestation of a child under 18, according to the Mono County Sheriff's Department.

Sgt. Cody Carlisle, 25, a Marine assigned to Pickel Meadows' Mountain Warfare Training Center in Bridgeport, Calif., was arrested on base Jan. 13 by sheriff's deputies working with the Mono County District Attorney's Office.

Mono County Public Information Officer Jennifer Hansen declined to discuss how many alleged victims are involved in the case and whether they are students. Information on the January arrest was not released until Thursday.

Carlisle has served as the Coleville Wolves defensive coordinator since August.

He remains in custody on $150,000 bail, said Hansen.

Calls to the Mono County District Attorney's Office were not immediately returned.
