Dorothy "Dottie" Jane Brandt, 85, passed away February 11, 2010, in Carson City. Dottie was born October 26, 1924, in Manistee, Mich., to Wesley and Ella Sloan.
Dottie moved to Carson City in 1997 from Wyandotte, Mich. She was a retired medical insurance biller and volunteered at the Carson Senior Center and Carson Tahoe Hospital Auxiliary. She was a member of the SSA, St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Community. She enjoyed traveling, gardening and playing cards.
Dottie will be dearly missed by her husband, Robert "Skip" Brandt, whom she married in 1946. She is also survived by daughters Jeanne Ross and Susan Peterson both of Carson City; sons Don Brandt of Desert Island, Maine, and Russell Brandt of Southgate, Mich.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
